TESTING – We may have been hacked.

Actually, infected is a better description. I think I’ve removed the affected files, but if you are still getting a malware or virus alert, please leave a comment. It would also be helpful to know what browser and if you are on a MAc or a PC. Please check the time of the last comment made, if it’s only been 10 minutes, chances are I’m still working on it.

  1. Yeah I just got a redirect to a spam site trying to load shit. Lucky I have a mac

  2. Are you using the most current release of WordPress? If not update it on your host to the newest one. It might break some of your plug-in/modules though so be ready to update those too. At least that’s what I have to do on our site, but I use Drupal instead of WP so mine is probably not as user friendly as WP.. Also change all passwords on all users and delete unnecessary ones and check permissions to make sure a bot didn’t create an account and give itself permissions it shouldn’t have.

  3. Same here. Safari popped up a malware warning dialog. Curious to know what you discover.

  4. HTML:Iframe-inf Somehow my theme got hacked.

I’m running WordPress MU, so it’s a bit more involved than a standard WordPress install, I’m one version behind right now, waiting for the dust to settle. MU versions are a little behind the regular version of WordPress. I wanted to make sure they didn’t recall it.

  5. Hey RAvage – what site did it try to redirect you to?

  6. It’s not doing it now in either browser. I’ll click around on your site in Safari until I get it again…

  7. OK so I’ve been clicking around like a mad man (totally throwing off your site metrics) and haven’t been able to replicate the redirect. All your links look healthy so hmmm I don’t know what to say, if I get it again I’ll let you know the site it links…

  12. Hi, Ravage,

Too bad I’m dead, otherwise I could have pitched a lot of your product out in all cities. I would have owned all zip codes. Damn you death!

sounds like someone is spamming their new skateboard company as billy mays.

  15. Nah that really was someone else. I don’t have time to make up alter egos to pimp my gear. It does just fine all on it’s own 🙂

  16. I didn’t get the malware prompts on the day this notice was posted, but I’m getting them every time I visit the site. Viewing from Mac Safari.
