Portland pants maker wants shirt off your back

Nau clothing company (not just another outdoor company) is using skateboarding on the entry page to their web site, as well as some banner ads in rotation elsewhere. They’ve got sustainable design philosophies, partnerships, and a code of conduct all designed to get you to spend $148 on pair of jeans. They are Portland based, and they’ve done a good job of making the images as non-location specific as possible, but it looks like Pier Park to me. Wouldn’t be the first time. Actually, before I got kicked off Youtube, I was preparing to upload a razor scooter commercial shot at Newberg! Visit the Nau web site to buy expensive skateboarding jeans, archived for posterity after the jump.

  1. Do these jeans make my wallet look fat?

ha ha man … u guys are so “indie”!

  3. Someone ought to be able to ID the rider.

  4. I noticed that. Nau make good very quality stuff and are as close to a sustainable clothing company as you can get. I forked out for a wind breaker to ride my bike in but I’ll be damned if I’m paying over $100 for a pair of jeans to skate in… Why the hell did Ben Davis move to the Dominican Republic… Oh that’s right…

    pants are for sissies.

  6. […] Nau clothing before. Then they closed up shop. Well they were bought by Horny Toad clothing company who relaunched the company seemingly with the core principles intact and apparently a desire to appeal to skateboarders. I’m surprised those pants don’t have deeper pockets. […]
