Rune Glifberg over the door

Rune Glifberg over the door at Pier Park

Check out the fancy video camera that guy is holding at the edge of the pipe. Who needs expensive prosumer electronics gear when a point and shoot still camera can give you glorious 160 x 120 pixel imagery at 15 fps? Not our friend Troy Sliter. Check out his moving picture footage of Rune Glifberg going over the mouse hole at Portland’s Pier Park during the 2007 Oregon Trifecta after the jump.

[Update: More reader video added in comments]

Rune wasn’t the first person to make it over the door that day, but he is the one that Troy caught. You cans see a larger version of Troy’s shot above here. The video below has been scaled up a little, otherwise it would have been postage stamp size. Thanks Troy!

why hasnt anybody titled their coverage Trifuckyeah! yet?

  3. Did Rune ollie it, or roll it?… hard to tell from the viddy. Troy’s enlarged pic makes it look a little bit ollie (bottom wheel not touching).
Either way, super sick, and I’m sure tough to do.

  4. Rolled it both ways. After Salba rolled it frontside, and Shane rolled it backside. Of course, Hewitt did it months before.

  5. Hey now, nobody said this was the raddest, we just said this is what we got! It’s a little jerky, but that could be the compression. Not really a fare comparison to video mode set at smallest file size on a still camera.

Good footage though! Nice wrap up.

I think that door footage you have labeled as Brian Patch is actually Shane Bell, but its hard to tell from the web version.

  6. Sorry, I should not drink and post stuff, that came out wrong, just wanted to contribute. We are all in this together. Much respect to the photographer, love the shot of Rune over the door… 🙂
