  1. thanks for putting this site up. i live in portland and look to you for the information. i’m sure i’ll see you soon at the parks, but just wanted to say thanks for the time and energy spent on keeping all the barneys entertained.
the anonymous little shits will learn. until then the old kooks can enjoy the bowls in relative [i’ve been experiencing the family trip to the skatepark lately. that entails dad (who doesn’t skate) chasing kids (who don’t skate) through the bowls] in peace. anyway, we are lucky to have the opportunity to complain.

  2. Yea, what he said! Keep up the good work. The content is why I’m here, not the comments and wannabes. Long live the pad goons!

  3. Yeah keep up the good work. It means less chance of me getting fired from my real job!

  4. Tom,

Maybe some of us have learned already… and decided we like the streets better… or even better, that we like it all…

Skated a rad loading dock bank set up in the ‘burbs on saturday, landed a kickflip after three or four tries. Then I went to Beaverton skatepark to skate the ledges… Wish I could say I’m a fifteen year old kid who doesn’t know any better but I’m a beer-gutted 32 year old who does…

  5. One last thing. I realize this was probably a response to the Gabriel Park drama. I don’t know how anyone can complain about Conahan’s advocacy without stepping up to a few meetings themselves. So cheers, Mark to your efforts!

Street skaters, should probably step up and attend a meeting or two at this point… I’m hoping to attend the Ed Benedict meetings as that park will be the closest to where I live.

  6. You could build 19 Street Plazas and still get kids bitching about how it could have been done better.

Little snot nose punks get everything handed to them on silver platter these days. We had to build our own back in the day. And now our experience is paying off in some of the best skateparks ever built. These kids don’t deserve what they’re getting.
