it’s not the comfort factor, it is the smell….

  3. Damn funny! I have to wear a shirt skating too… or my back becomes a ‘crete magnet…

FUCK 187!!!!!! KEEP IT AT HOME, PAIN CHEATERS!!!!!!! MADE IN U.S.A. ……….AND THE DUDE SKATES !!!!!!!WHAT MORE DO YOU NEED TO KNOW!!!!!!!!!!!

  6. 187 guy skates. I’ve got some with the heavy duty recaps. I like them, Had them for a year now. I don’t know how they compare to Pain Cheaters except they are about $75 cheaper. I’ve had better experience with my 187’s than the last set of Pro Designed I bought. Also much better than the last pair of Boneless that I had.

I do agree on the price, Kilwag. But every pair of 187’s I’ve picked up was a product of China….

  8. I see what you mean. Mine were custom made, so that’s a different comparison.

I think 187 moved to California from Florida. The folks at Tracker lost their distribution rights for TSG and had to find something else, so they worked out a deal with 187. I think part of that deal involved the move. My pads were purchased when they were still in Florida and were hand made by the main guy.

The only 187’s I saw ,looked like some tsg street pads. Are your pads as thick as say the pro designed. I dont care for my p.d.s because they fall off if I plant a foot before I get sweaty. I dont like the price on pain cheaters but I will save my pennies to get a pad that works well.

rector fatboys and knee gaskets are the perfect set-up. I have tried several of the other big name pads and i always had a problem contacting my knee through the seem area of the pad. i have never had this problem with the fatboys. it sucks hitting wrong and exploding your knee even through the knee pad.

  11. Mine aren’t as thick as the PD’s but the best pad I’ve ridden in a long time. However, they are not the stock ones – these were hand made, and have the heavy duty recap. I don’t know if you can even get them that way now.

Pain Cheaters are supposed to be the shit. everyone that has them swears by them. You can always find a nay sayer about the other brands, but everyone that actually has Pain Cheaters says they are the best.

I’ve been thinking about making the investment. Pain Cheaters are priced to be a pad that you keep for more than a year or two, but then again the stink factor makes me think maybe I don’t want to keep wearing the same pads for years and years…
