Dogtown Runners

Best Dogtown movie, ever.

That pool shot looks real. Quick, what’s wrong with these pictures? Check out this hardcore documentary after the jump. Skateboarding was never the same again.

Dogtown Runners

Glen E. Friedman seems like a pretty intense guy. I hope he has a sense of humor. This movie is so well done that I want it to be perfect, but it’s not. The only things keeping it from being a comic masterpiece are a few more colorful characters and an impersonated voiceover. As it is, it’s still damned fine execution. The school yard banks and the shoe falling off are a nice touch. hand slapping the plants is also nice attention to detail. Maybe this is just a proof of concept. I could easily watch 10 minutes of this if it was expanded well. They need to separate the Friedman/Alva character. Imagine the possibilities of a Jay Adams character too.
