eBay Watch January 2007

eBay Watch January 2007

2007 got off with a bang. Now that tax refunds are starting to come in, purse strings are getting as loose as Paris Hilton’s knickers. This month I’m starting a reissue section. Why? Because I can. Seriously though, I’m putting it in because some of the reissues are starting to get up there in price. Ridiculous? Maybe, but that’s the reality, and I cover what’s hot. Also new to this month’s report is the ability to click on the thumbnails to see an enlarged version. Check it out

  2. as usual great stuff, thanks for putting it together so quickly each month.

my only comment is the cease and desist barnyard deck is is as close to the OG as they could make it, so it is 30.25 x 9 (instead of 9.25) with a 6.25 tail 5.50 nose and mellow concave. the natas rip off is a generic “football” shape they used on a bunch of boards. their new boards are a similar “football” shape and they seem to have listened to everyones criticism as they are now reissuing graphics with the riders endorsement, hopefully the artists will be next.

im not affiliated in any way, i say this because i ride one of the barnyard knock offs and have a spare too, like a lot of reissue buyers i was a big fan of that shape back in the day and cant afford to ride an OG now.

thanks for listening and keeping it real. someone needs to publicly say (on a regular basis) paying 2Gs for a skateboard is just damn crazy and you do a great job of it.

  4. I owned that Dogtown Web. It was an awesome board. I have been telling my younger skater friends about it but they all say it never existed. Ha, now I have picture proof. Thanks.

There was a “wave” version as well, do you have a picture of that board by chance?

Cool site, I just discovered it. Great to see all those old boards. The board I always wanted growing up was the Powell Peralta, Per Welinder “bonite”. I loved that viking skull even though the thing was a tank. lol

Does any one know who owns or purchased the multicolored Z flex deck shown at the top of the Jan 2007 ebay watch page? I would very much like to buy it, if anyone can hook me up with the owner I would be very grateful.
    Thanks
