Went by Ed Benedict to see the progress. They finished the quarters opposing the shots Kilwag got earlier. They seemed to be finishing up a lot of smaller sections of the park. It seems like it might be a while before it opens. Enjoy these awful cellphone shots..

Strongest of the Strange from Pontus Alv, circa 2005. The video was filmed from 2002 to 2005, and is the handy work of Pontus Alv. This is one of my all-time favorite skate videos. It seems like they really put a lot of energy and time into the skating/filming/editing. Its not only long, but its filled with all kinds of terrain and styles of skateboarding. Various skits are thrown in throughout the video, which verge on the comedic art scene. Those of you that are afraid of seeing a penis should probably skip through the first section. United by Fate from Globe Shoes, circa 2007. United by Fate is series of short films Globe is putting together. They just featured Episode 2 with Chris Haslam, and as usual hes a blast to watch. Black and Blue Vol. 1 from Vox Footwear. Vox was formed by Ed Dominick, Dr. Chen (Osiris Shoes) and Nathan Peacher in 2005. This is what it says in their “About Me” on their Myspace page:

Tilt Mode! from Tilt Mode Army, circa 2000. Tilt Mode Army is a group of skaters out of San Jose, California. The videos are the mastermind of Matt Eversole, Chris Avery and Jesse Erikson, with help from NC Clothing. The Tilt Mode videos seem to be more about having a good time with friends rather than landing a single trick after fifty tries, which makes the video stand out from all the others out there. A lot of companies now-a-days could learn a lesson from these guys.

We haven’t written about Claus Grabke for at least a month now, so I had to go searching on my computer for this fantastic piece of work. You can believe the words from Grabke’s mouth, or see the utter truth that is this video.
Gnar Gnar from Krooked Skateboards, circa 2007. This is a limited edition VHS from the Gonz and his boys at Krooked. The entire video is filmed using VHS Camcorders. There are rumored to be only 1,000 copies on the market. You might be able to find one on eBay for around $50.00+ or so at this point. The video is great in my opinion! Each of the skater’s parts are interesting, and you can tell they were filmed on the fly. It sort of beckons to the days of making homemade skate videos with your friends. Bring back DIY to skateboarding!
