Hood River in Progress

In your face, every other place in the world. Part 2

We’re off to see the wizard… That’s the creek jump in Hood River. Hard to tell how big the gap is, but I’m sure it’s going to be a hit, and a bummer for everyone that doesn’t clear it! Super cool feature, nonetheless. Thanks again to the lens of Hood River’s resident skateographer Carl Warren, we’ve got some more images of the work in progress. Looks like it’s getting pretty close to being done if they are pouring flat. Can’t wait to check it out. Can’t wait.

Alex is a local.

  1. That looks like the best place ever for an old guy who likes to mess around on small crap.

    1. There’s also bowl there that’s pretty deep, but yeah, it does.

    WOW.

  8. I love Hood river! a wonderfull setting for a skatepark! and it might also be the fine lady per capita capitol of the northwest!!!

  9. A far cry from ’95, when I lived there!

Then: Wal-Mart curbs and the Compound Ramp… Now: concrete metropolis. Wild.

  10. Damn, Killer looking additions. Who’s the builder? What are all the anchor bolts for? Light Stands maybe?

  11. The bolts are for a roof.
It should all be done by the end of the month.
Graham Coats and I have been doing the construction with help from a rotating crew. Everything but the snail trail was designed using Rhino. (3d CAD).
No website, no company. Just wanted to build some shit.

  12. It looks awesome. Can’t wait to skate it.

  13. is there a place to donate funds? i would feel guilty for skating without contributing financially
