William Spencer

Flip Wilson

Gotta love infotainment graphics. This one is from the Denver Post article on William Spencer. Reminds me of several things. I think a good fake job for a character in a book or movie would be dental animation specialist – or someone who makes a living modeling 3d computer graphics of mouths and teeth for toothpaste and mouthwash commercials. We’ve covered this guy before, but now there’s newer footage. Supposedly, Spencer stunt doubled Orlando Bloom in a Japanese hair care commercial.

Calvalcade of William Spencer.

Don’t forget to check out the Denver Post article. It’s actually interesting.

Hollarado – Started it all.

I think this one is called Burning Daylight.

I remember reading someone complaining about the trend of corny music as irony in skateboard videos. This guy must have felt the same way because he overdubbed his own soundtrack of Aesop Rock.

This appears to be footage of William when he was a bit younger.

Shiseido Uno hair gel with Orlando Bloom

I found two videos for Uno commercials with Orlando Bloom. While the first one is highly amusing, there doesn’t appear to be skateboarding in any of it. This clip combines the two.

As usual, if you have a copy of the mysterious Orlando Bloom skateboarding commercial, please let me know.

I love this kid. It’s kinda like when you show up to the skatepark and see the kid on roller blades “killing it”… Your natural emotion is to laugh and throw bottles at him, but you gotta respect him for sticking with it even though the whole world (except for the french) hates him.

  2. The flip has got to be more free running or parkour with a skateboard landing. Will, great job. You will never catch me trying anything with that type of gnar factor. Now lets see ya ollie into the front flip, down the stairs and land on a second board. Call it “hippie jump on crack” Or better yet, ollie, grab your board, flip and land the same board! That would be skateboarding. How about a kick flip while you flip down the stairs and land it. Heck yes! I’m going to go put on all my pads and carve now. lol.

Can you actually define what skateboarding really is?…. I thought skateboarding is all about being creative individual in the “linear” world. Skateboarding represents freedom of self expression. Why should we limit ourselfs just to grinding, fliping and ollieing.Every skateboarder chooses to do what feels natural to him. I respect everybody, from the kid who can barely ollie to Conahan who is still killing the bowls at his age. . .

  4. “…to Conahan who is still killing the bowls at his age”

Makes him sound like a charity case! Even if you take his age out of the equation, he can hang at any session.

Like saying “She’s pretty good, for a girl!”

I know it was unintentional, but it made me chuckle. Mark’s pretty sensitive. I didn’t want his widdle feelings to get hurt.

I think its great! Cheers to anyone who rides a skateboard different than others. luckily in skateboarding you have that choice. Too often everyone wants to do the same stuff.. the fashionable stuff. Its good for kids to see people riding skateboards in different ways. I feel lucky being an OLD guy… I’ve seen skateboards riddin in all kinds of ways.
