EXCEL + Dogtown + T.A. …. again

Kilwag already posted the musicvideo for EXCEL´s song Unenslaved about two months ago. Their Dogtown connection started a couple of years earlier. There first album was produced by SUICIDAL Records (owned by Mike Muir, also singer for Suicidal Tendencies). On the thankslist you will also find Jim “Red Dog” Muir, Mike´s brother and founder of Dogtown Skateboards. EXCEL also had their own boards that – unlike the S.T. boards – weren´t sold through Suicidal Records. But I guess they were also produced by Dogtown, but that´s just a guess.

The song Unenslaved was featured on their “Seeking Refuge” album (Malicious Vinyl, 1995). The LP cover shows a classic shot of Tony Alva, taken by Jim Goodrich in 1978. The CD cover shows a nice lion, hahaha. Vinyl is always the better choice!
