Should be an old man saying the punch line… too many yoofs DON’T find that shit painful… they didn’t have to live through the embarrassment (at least from a surfer’s perspective) of Tony “Ted Nugent Wannabe” Alva showing up in high-concept-attempts-at-various-sorts-of-insouciance ads, in a relatively unpretentious, somewhat more punk-conscious east coast surf rag, for instance… it was painful even then.
