WTF

I collect a lot of skateboards that are, quite frankly, whack. I have not been able to bring myself to purchase this one, and apparently nobody else has either. This item has been on eBay for a couple of years running. Yes, I’ve been following it that long. I actually saw a kid on one of these at a skatepark some time circa 2001. The question is, did the Gonz get his inspiration from this or did these guys copy him?

Question, are you kidding me? The Gonz did it in ’91 with Blind boards.
Weird funny ‘insect’ board. A while back, I even spotted it in some teenage comedy tv-series! It was hanging in a garage in the background. Don’t know which series.
Yeah, I should have written that down…
my primary observation would have to do with the trucks. there is only one set that can be turned properly, the other trucks all face the same way so it is impossible to lean and turn it.
In my opinion, it’s not nearly as cool as so many other variations on the skateboard that are whack (How about the wheelee board, or that paint roller thing that was on ebay watch this month!) Also, the ebay auction is local pick-up only, so it’s probably going to be up for sale for a few more years…
I remember seeing one these on display at Five Points Skateshop in Ventura years ago.
In the film The Santa Claus with Tim Allen, the son receives this thing for Christmas. You see him sitting on it in one scene.
