Ouch! I really like the design of the fabricated piece, regardless of whether or not it’s intended for skateboards, but, yeah, you are right.
Id really like to have one of those bases, but I don’t like benches without backs.

I’d like me one of those bases as well but I’d put a big fat flat longboard on it. Concave doesn’t sit nice either way.

The way that’s designed seems it will only work with a particular wheel base. Ikea should make this and you could get it for under $50.
