Reader DIY – The cradle will rock

garagebowl-0

Actually, I don’t think Kevin was a reader until after I profiled his garage minibowl, but I’m claiming it anyway. Check out the build and a video of the bowl in action after the jump. Where’s it at, where’s it at? A small town in Quebec. I’ll let him divulge if he wants.

  1. HO-HO that bowl!

    Pretty sweet.

  3. The Big O’s legacy in Montreal, eveything over 3 feet high must go to vert!

  4. very cool! I’m inspired by the mini-cradle. I have decided to burn my ramp down as soon as the rain starts this fall. I spent a good chunk of the summer shaping transitions around my driveway. I have been planning on building a overt wall maybe in the second phase of construction. but now after seeing this ramp and that red bull/converse ramp with the smalish cradle, I think I need a mini-cradle in my life! I’ll send in photos when I get the rebar tied. I plan on pouring the concrete for the first phase in early spring.

Any regrets re: the new addition? The bowl looked pretty sweet in the before condition.

  9. gotta agree with “someguyatwork”. i prefer the before version but to each his own. i wish i had a garage instead of a car port. here in san francisco any kind of free parking at your house is much appreciated. here’s another garage monster, the small beating ramp in santa clara.

  10. well like anything else you need change, the before bowl was cool . but there was no deck at that end cause it came too close to the door.that side was hardly used ,thats why the cradle is there.
all the stunts and done on or over the hip, and the back corner.this is my trainning camp. now it has everything. next year i will start the pool outside .
and hopefully the city will listen to me again and build clover at the local park.anybody wanting to skate
my bowl (aka the pearcamp)is always welcome
    merci!

  11. Très cool Kevin. T’habites ou?
