Don Hartley memorial wheel

donh

Momentum Wheels has released a wheel benefiting the Don Hartley memorial fund. Don was a legendary fixture in the Vancouver BC scene, and he died n July after sustaining a head injury at the also legendary Seylynn snake run in Vancouver. BC Skateboarding has a nice eulogy, including video footage of the Mad Carver, as he was known. Style for miles. He was 52 when he died, and usually wore a helmet when he skated, but didn’t on that particular day.

  1. I went to B.C. in (01) to visit Art and Steve it rained all weekend and we skated R.D.S. on Sunday it cleared and we went to an outdoor park it had just dried. And there was the best lay back slider I had ever seen and I meen ever seen none better. It was Don I only met him that one time but he sure was nice and into skateing. Just like R.D.S. (RIP).

  2. Holy cow, I didn’t realize that was him. I snapped a picture of him. However, it was 2003 when we went there.
