Halloween Highjinks: Kids skeleton skateboarding

Ok, we all know the original skateboarding skeleton t-shirt is from Powell. Retailers will seize anything popular to make an extra buck with holiday tie ins, which leads us to these two skeleton skateboarding shirts I bought for my two year old son. On top of that, he didn’t need to get out the white paint like GSD to get a pair of skeleton pants. These came from Babies-R-Us. Yes he wears them year round. They were $10 for a set of pants and hooded sweats, so I bought three sets in consecutive sizes so he won’t grow out of them for a year or maybe two. Hell, if they made them in my size I’d buy them for me. You can see that freestyle skateboarding is living (dead) after the jump.

Most of these kids skeleton skateboarding shirts are goofy, but I really like this one. How appropriate is this? A freestyler rises from the grave to start skating again, and eventually takes over the skateboarding industry. This shirt was from Old Navy, so I’m betting they hired a designer with fond memories of skating in the 80’s. Kids skeleton skateboarding shirt

This one came from Target. Dig the “Skella Rider” down the sleeve. The skeleton glows in the dark. Kids skeleton skateboarding shirt

My kids got the Target one last year… but I think their’s has the skelly busting off a quater-pipe.

Wasn’t that Old Navy one a TWS cover shot of Mullen? (Found it)… http://www.skateboarding.com/skate/gohuge/0,23444,1040388-5,00.html

I would wear that ollie airwalk shirt on many consecutive days without washing it…every week. I loved the ollie airwalk. For about a year, I did about 10 a day until my friends had an intervention for me, and basically said, “Dude, you’re doing freestyle…you have to stop.”

here’s one of the last ones I ever did…Benicia skatepark

Saw a pro do one to fakie last Sunday, on a 13′ vert ramp, he was about 3′ out… He’s been doing them awhile me thinks…

Bah! That’s a cool move, freestyle or no. I saw a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle do it yesterday at Burnside.

That Ninja Turtle had some serious ninja moves yesterday!
